Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening (or bleaching) is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of natural tooth enamel and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. Our office offers at home whitening trays as well as in-house Professional Zoom! Whitening.

At Home Whitening:
We provide patients with convenient prepackaged trays with whitening gel already loaded and ready to go. It simply takes 15 minutes a day for a whiter, brighter smile!

Zoom Whitening:
We also offer Professional Zoom! Whitening at our office. Zoom! Is the strongest, quickest, most effective method of bleaching on the market. Zoom! Has been clinically proven to whiten teeth up to 8 shades whiter in one appointment! It only takes a little over an hour in our office for a much whiter and brighter smile.

Please note that teeth whitening only works on natural tooth structure and will not whiten any restorations present in your mouth. Replacement of any restorations can be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth. Teeth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed every several years, and more often if you smoke, drink coffee, tea, or wine.

While teeth whitening does not have any negative effects on tooth structure, it commonly causes temporary sensitivity. We recommend that you start using Sensodyne toothpaste 2 weeks before you plan to whiten and products with fluoride after whitening to help with sensitivity.
